Antonina Shevchenko
Antonina is a Kyrgyzstani Peruvian Muay Thai fighter, mixed martial artist and currently is a competitor within the UFC flyweight division. Valentina Shevchenko, a former UFC Flyweight title holder as well as UFC other fighter, is her elder sister. Antonina Shevchenko's professional career in combat sport started out in the form of a Muay Thai athlete. Shevchenko debuted on the IFMA World Championship Tournament in 2003. Shevchenko took the title before being defeated by Suzane Mller with a majority vote. Antonina Shevchenko won another medal in 2007 with a bronze, a silver in 2008, and a gold in 2011, and then was named the IFMA Amateur World MuayThai Champion in 2016. Antonia was first introduced to the professional world in with her debut in 2003. She won the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championships 2012 and the Lion Fight Lightweight Championships 2016 and both the WMC World Championships as well as the Phoenix FC World Championships 2016. Antonina's last fight was against Isa Tidblad-Keskikangas in the Phoenix Fighting Championship. The fight was won unanimously. Antonina Schevchenko broke her professional MMA records in 2002 when she fought Anara Bazanova at KFK Cup in Kyrgystan. She was victorious with a TKO after round 2 and the two subsequent matches were held in WXF X-Impact World Championships. Shevchenko was forced to take a break in order to pursue boxing. Shevchenko returned against Anissahaddaoui in Phoenix FC 3. Shevchenko defeated Anissa Haddaoui by the unanimous verdict. She then beat Valerie Domergue, at Phoenix FC 4 in an unanimous vote. She left the promotion in 2018 to join Dana White's Contender Series in 2018. Shevchenko took on Jaimelene Nievera in Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11, Antonina defeated Nievera by her impressive striking ability in the final clinch through knees to the body. Antonina's UFC contract was extended after this win. Antonina took part in her UFC debut at the TUF Heavy Hhitters Finale with Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko defeated Roxanne Modeafferi with the unanimous verdict. However, she then lost her subsequent bout due to a split verdict. Antonina returned to the ring after the defeat and beat Lucie Puddilova in UFC on ESPN Covington-Lawler by rear-naked submissions in the 2nd round. The fight was awarded Antonina the Bonus Fight of the Night. Shevchenko was a 1-2 winner in her next 3-fights beating Ariane Lipski and losing to Katlyn Chookagian as well as Andrea Lee. Antonina has been defeated recently by Casey O'Neill via TKO at UFC Fight Night Santos -Walker.
